Sacral Nerve Stimulation

In September 2016 SIG began offering peripheral nerve evaluation (PNE) for fecal urgency and incontinence. To date, 25 tests have been conducted. Of these people, 24 experienced fifty percent or greater improvement of fecal urgency and/or reduction of unintended loss or leakage of stool. This therapy can significantly improve bowel control and allow people the freedom to participate in activities or events they might otherwise avoid due to concern for bowel accidents.
